A dangerous heart rate is one that is significantly higher than 100 beats per minute (tachycardia) or lower than 60 beats per minute (bradycardia) in adults, outside of normal circumstances like intense exercise or being an athlete. It can pose serious health risks such as heart attack, stroke, or sudden cardiac arrest, especially if accompanied by symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath.
